Eight new Bulgarian Members of Parliament are expected to be sworn in, replacing elected lawmakers who took oath of office as ministers in the country’s Socialist-led government on Wednesday.
Six of the new lawmakers will be from the Bulgarian Socialist Party, while two will be on the ticket of the liberal Movement for Rights and Freedoms.
One new MEP will represent the Bulgarian Socialist Party in the European Parliament.
Marusya Lyubcheva will replace MEP Kristian Vigenin, who was sworn in as the country’s Foreign Minister on Wednesday.
