Bulgaria's new Cabinet has become cemented due to the far-right nationalist Ataka party, says GERB leader and former Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov.
"120 MPs registered at once and the Speaker of the Parliament waited for 2 minutes for someone else to register so that the required quorum of 121 is reached. Ataka leader Volen Siderov gave them this vote and made the Cabinet irreplaceable," says Borisov.
After it was announced that there is quorum, the MPs from the formerly-ruling center-right Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria, GERB party, and their leader walked out of plenary hall.
"We left in sign of protest so that everyone, including foreign diplomats can see that we have a new Three-Way Coalition between the Bulgarian Socialist party, BSP, the ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms, DPS, and Ataka (Attack). With the quorum reached, there is no way the vote will flop now. We will return to plenary hall to participate," said Borisov.
