Petar Chobanov was born on July 20, 1976 in Yambol.
He holds an MA in Macroeconomics and a PhD in Finance from the University of World and National Economy (UNWE). He completed specializations in monetary and financial stability policies.
His previous work experience includes, among others, the jobs of Senior Expert at the Analyses unit of the Treasury Directorate of the Bulgarian National Bank,
Executive Director of the Agency for Economic Analysis and Forecasting, lecturer at the Finance Department of UNWE, and Chair of the Financial Supervision Committee.
