Bulgarian nationalist party Ataka (Attack) would not take part in a coalition government with the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) and the predominantly ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS), an Ataka official declared Saturday.
However, Ataka lawmaker-elect Stanislav Stanilov has told TV7 that his party may support a Socialist-led expert government in Parliament.
Stanilov pointed out that the support would not be unconditional, since Ataka needs to see BSP’s program first.
The official declared that Ataka would not negotiate with DPS, the other party that has said it would support a Socialist-led expert Cabinet.
According to the final vote count, DPS and BSP together will have 120 seats in the 240-seat unicameral Parliament.
Ataka, BSP and DPS have all declared that they would not negotiate with the center-right GERB, which narrowly won the election on May 12, but will be unable to form a government.
