Three senior Bulgarian Socialist Party officials are likely to be proposed for ministers in Bulgaria’s next government, Novinite.bg has reported, citing its own sources.

Former BSP lawmaker Maya Manolova is likely to be proposed for Justice Minister, while another former MP, Angel Naydenov, has been tipped to become Defense Minister, the report says.

Former Interior Minister Mihail Mikov (2007-2009) has been tipped for a comeback.
Manolova, Naydenov and Mikov were the three BSP officials that accompanied Socialist leader Sergey Stanishev during his meeting with President Rosen Plevneliev on Friday.

The left-wingers have already endorsed former Finance Minister Plamen Oresharski for Prime Minister.

Even though the center-right GERB party of former PM Boyko Borisov narrowly won the May 12 early general election, it would not be able to form a government, since no other formations in Parliament would support it.

According to the final count, DPS and BSP together will have 120 seats in the 240-seat unicameral Parliament. Ataka is yet to declare whether it would support these two parties.
The new Parliament will convene on May 21.
