Bulgaria: Fans, Tweeter Users Condemn 'Chelsea to Win, Petrov to Die' Message

Aston Villa fans were enraged by a sick tweet against Stiliyan Petrov which read: “Chelsea to win, Petrov to die”, Birmingham Mail reported.

Twitter users united to condemn the message, with some urging the police to launch an investigation.

One Twitter user, Simon Overall, branded the message “disgraceful”. Of its author, he added: “Would love the UK cops to be knocking on his door.”

Other comments branded the tweet “sick” and “absolutely shocking”.

West Midlands Police said today that it had received no complaints over the tweet, which appeared to have been posted on Saturday afternoon.

The Bulgarian Villa star received a huge ovation during and after Saturday’s match against Chelsea after revealing his decision to quit the game last week to continue his battle with acute leukemia.
