Bulgaria's prosecuting authority initiated 331 case files for breach of political rights in connection with the May 12 general elections.

A total of 107 of the 331 case files are still being inspected, while 224 were closed, according to reports of the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR).

The prosecuting authority also initiated 54 pre-trial proceedings, 17 of which concern vote-buying, 3 of them supposedly organized by crime groups.
