By 6 am on Monday, a total of 69.38% of the election protocols of Bulgaria's May 12 general elections have been processed.
According to the preliminary results, four parties pass the 4% parliamentary threshold.
The results are , as follows:
Center-right Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria GERB party of former Bulgarian Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov gets 31.37%, of the votes, the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) – 27.3%, the ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) party – 9.14%, nationalist party Ataka – 7.59%, the National Front for Salvation of Bulgaria (NFSB) - 3.68%, the Bulgaria for Citizens Movement – 3.36%, the right-wing Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB) - 3.07%,VMRO - 1.97%, the marginal conservative Order, Law and Justice (RZS) party - 1.71%, and the Leader party – 1.64%.
Four regional electoral commissions – Gabrovo, Lovech, Razgrad and Yambol – have processed 100% of the protocols, according to reports of the Bulgarian National Television (BNT), citing data from the Central Electoral Commission.
By 5.30 am on Monday, voter turnout at the May 12 parliamentary elections is estimated at 41.30%.
By 6 am on Monday, a total of 31.72% of the protocols of polling stations abroad have been processed, the results being, as follows: DPS gets 34.96% of the votes, GERB gets 25.10%, BSP gets 8.03% and the the Center - Freedom and Dignity coalition gets 7.52% of the votes.
