Former Bulgarian Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, has banned colleagues from telling him what is being published in the media.

Borisov spoke Saturday while election campaigning in the southern town of Simeonovgrad in a response to a reporter's request to comment on the Friday resignation of Sofia City Prosecutor, Nikolay Kokinov.

"I don't know, I don't read newspapers, don't watch TV, don't listen to the radio, I am not interested. I only know that they spy on me even when I go to the bathroom," the former PM replied.

His comments came in the middle of the wiretapping scandal dubbed the "Bulgarian Watergate," which continues to send shockwaves in the country, with "round two" starting Friday, after a recording leaked to the media.

The recording includes an outrageous conversation between Borisov, Kokinov, and the former Agriculture Minister, Miroslav Naydenov.

The taped conversation is filled with profanities, curses, vulgarities, and insults of prosecutors, politicians, and journalists, including ridicule of some of them over their possible sexual orientation.

The most insults are directed at Chief Prosecutor, Sotir Tsatsarov, with Kokinov blaming Borisov of handpicking him as it turned out he was not acting as expected.

The talk basically revolves around corruption charges pressed against Naydenov and Kokinov being in hot water over breaches he had committed, and ways for both to get out of them.

In it, Borisov is also heart using the bathroom.

Kokinov resigned from the post later Friday.

"No other political leader before me has been targeted with special surveillance devices. You are normal people, why don't you ask yourselves who has organized this and why. They even taped me in the bathroom. If they tape you in the bathroom, how would you feel? So far they taped me when I was doing number one, I expect to be taped doing number two right before election day," Borisov told supporters in Simeonovgrad Saturday.

He then proceeded to speak directly to the journalist, saying the following:

"I do not wish this to any Bulgarian. Because then they will come to your house, because someone was not happy with your reporting. And you will see how embarrassing this is. You feel violated. They listened to me using the bathroom in my own home, these so-called democrats. Do you have a husband? Everyone has a personal live, a heart and a soul. If they tape you talking to him, your child, your mother-in-law, and let your colleagues listen, they would say they are shocked and thought you were a much nicer person."

Borisov further told the crowd that thankfully no one in the country cared about the spying and declined saying if he knew if Naydenov was the one who was wiretapped during the conversation.
