Saturday is a day of open doors at Bulgaria's President's Office during which citizens will be able to freely enter and view the premises and gain insight into the institution's functioning.

The Presidency in central Sofia opened doors 10 am - 4 pm, with Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev meeting in person the guests.

Visitors will also be able to see items from the Presidency's inventory, such as original Bulgarian army flags from the 1880s to the World Wars and to inspect the offices of the President and Vice-President, and the halls for formal meetings and committee sittings.

Orders and medals that the Bulgarian president awards to persons of merit are also on display for visitors.

Plevneliev's initiative is held for the second time.

The first visitor personally greeted by him Saturday was 8-year-old Vladimir.
