Investigations into Ukraine-Iraq Link Start Today

British and American experts will begin work on Monday in Ukraine investigating claims that the government there has sold a military radar system to Iraq. Such a sale would be in breach of United Nations sanctions against Iraq. The Ukrainians deny the allegations but the United States insists it has already authenticated some of the evidence. The 10-day investigation is attempting to discover whether Ukraine's breached United Nations sanctions. The British and American team intends to leave no stone unturned. The allegation is that Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma approved the sale of a Kolchuga military radar system to Iraq.
