Fuel retailer Lukoil Bulgaria has published the results of an inspection by an independent authority concluding that the petrol bases of the company have been fully equipped with the mandatory measuring devices.

The probe was conducted by certification company SGS Bulgaria on Wednesday, according to the press office of Lukoil Bulgaria.

The inspection showed that the petrol bases in Karnobat, Vetren, Stara Zagora, Ihtiman, Plovdiv, and Iliyantsi, had been equipped with the mandatory measuring equipment capable of transmitting real-time reports to the database of the Customs Agency

All petrol bases of Lukoil Bulgaria contained in the report of SGS Bulgaria are connected to the company's pipeline connecting the Lukoil Neftochim refinery in Burgas to the Iliyantsi petrol base.

On  April 22, Customs Agency head Vanyo Tanov issued an order for the suspension of the tax warehouse license for the pipeline of Lukoil.

The preliminary execution of the order was stopped by the Sofia Administrative Court, which caused the Customs Agency to come up with a condemnatory media statement, declaring that the law in Bulgaria had bowed to the power of monopoly.

On Thursday, the Supreme Administrative Court (VAS) issued a statement, saying that it would not tolerate cases in which the parties to an unsettled administrative dispute were trying to influence proceeding by out-of-court means.
