Bulgarian tourists have been sprayed with teargas in Bosilegrad in neighboring Serbia.

The Focus news agency reports that the group went for lunch at a restaurant when a group of Serbians with criminal records arrived and began spraying. The Bulgarians left in a hurry as they were chocking, while one young woman fainted.

There are two rumors spreading in Bosilegrad – that this was a deliberate attack on Bulgarians or retaliation against the owner of the restaurant over a turf war.

Police have arrived immediately and later arrested the perpetrators.

The tourists have returned back to Bulgaria.
