The Boston Celtics' home game against the Indiana Pacers has been cancelled because of Monday’s deadly Boston Marathon bombings.

The NBA said on Monday that the game will not be rescheduled. The clash had been scheduled for Tuesday.

At least three people were killed and over 140 were injured in the two bomb explosions at the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday. The explosions occurred at about 2:45 p.m. Eastern Time, more than two hours after the first of the race's nearly 27 000 runners had crossed the finish line.

The FBI said that they were looking at a "potential terrorist investigation," but it's not clear whether the origin was domestic or foreign.
