Margaret Thatcher will remain in history as an inspiring leader of the free world, stated Bulgarian PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs Marin Raykov.

Monday Raykov sent UK premier David Cameron an official letter of condolences on Thatcher's passing.

"Lady Thatcher was among those great persons who, with their strong faith in democratic values, overturned the course of history and led to the fall of the Berlin Wall and collapse of communism," said the Bulgarian PM and top diplomat.

"For all of us on the other side of the Iron Curtain, that meant to be free - something that Baroness Thatcher undeniably contributed," stressed Raykov.

The Bulgarian PM further honored the former British premier for what he described as her faith in the right of free choice for every individual.
