North Korea has moved two medium-range missiles to its east coast, according to a South Korean media report.

"Early this week, the North has moved two Musudan missiles on the train and placed them on mobile launchers,” a military official has stated, according to the Yonhap news agency.

Both missiles have allegedly been loaded on to vehicles equipped with launch pads.

The South Korean Defense Ministry, which confirmed the movement of the first missile yesterday, declined to comment on the new report.

Pyongyang's latest missile deployment has prompted the US to move its THAAD advanced missile defense system along with radar systems to a base on the Pacific Ocean island of Guam.

On Wednesday, the North Korean army said it had received approval to launch a “merciless” attack on the United States, including possible nuclear strikes.
