March 2013 has been the bloodiest month in the two years of civil war that have ravaged Syria, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The center has announced it has recorded a total of 6,005 killed for the last month.

Those include 298 children, 291 women, 1486 rebel fighters and army deserters, and 1464 government soldiers.

In the two years since the start of the conflict, 70,000 are estimated to have perished, with some 1 M people displaced.
