Scottish giants Celtic are said to be in the hunt for GBP 3 M-rated Bulgaria international winger Aleksandar Tonev.

Tonev, 23, scored his first international hat-trick in last Friday's 6-0 World Cup qualifying win over Malta.

According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic watched the promising youngster as far back as October's friendly draw with Denmark. The paper reminds that Hoops boss Neil Lennon has long been concerned by a lack of pace in his side.

However, the Scottish club is likely to face tough competition for the Lech Poznan player. Italian sides Lazio and Fiorentina are also reportedly keen on signing him.
