North Korea has launched two small range ballistic missiles, according to reports by South Korea's armed forces.

This has occured during military drills, but no exact date has been specified

The two missiles, believed to be of the KN-02 type that has a rage of 120 km, have been fired into the sea east of North Korea.

The display of power is believed to be a response to joint military drills by South Korea and the USA.

Last week, the UN Security Council approved tougher sanctions against North Korean financial transactions, aimed to hinder the country's nuclear program.
