Code yellow has been declared over the forecast for gusty winds in a total of 22 districts: Vidin, Vratsa, Montana, Lovech, Pleven, Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Ruse, Targovishte, Shumen, Razgrad, Silistra, Dobrich, Varna, Burgas, Yambol, Haskovo, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, Pazardzhik, Smolyan and Kardzhali.
Heavy downpours are expected in Smolyan and Kardzhali.
Code yellow means potentially dangerous weather, where the forecast is not for unusual meteorological events, but requires people to exercise caution.
On Thursday, a young woman was killed by a scaffolding in the town of Gabrovo, Northern Bulgaria, as strong winds hit the country.
Several towns and villages in Northern Bulgaria saw the wind knock down trees and electric poles and causing fire and power outrages.
There were reports from around the country of roofs knocked down by the strong wind.
The district of Gabrovo is still in an emergency situation, the Bulgarian National Television informed early on Friday.
