A young woman has been killed by a scaffolding in the town of Gabrovo, Northern Bulgaria, as strong winds hit the country.

The body has not been identified yet.

Unconfirmed reports say the woman is aged twenty.

Bulgaria's national weather service declared code orange and code yellow over extremely windy weather in 27 districts across Bulgaria.

Several towns and villages in Northern Bulgaria saw the wind knock down trees and electric poles and causing fire and power outrages.

There are reports from around the country of roofs knocked down by the strong wind.
