Ekaterina Zaharieva, who served as Bulgaria's deputy regional minister before joining the presidential team, has been picked for deputy caretaker prime minister.

She will also serve as regional development minister in Bulgaria's caretaker government.

Ekaterina Zaharieva entered the center-right government of Boyko Borisov right after he won the elections in the summer of 2009.

The question was answered on Tuesday by President Rosen Plevneliev.
