Uhuru Kenyatta, who is indicted for crimes against humanity, has narrowly won the presidential election in Kenya.

The country's Deputy Prime Minister won 50.07% of the vote, officials said Saturday.

However, the main challenger, Raila Odinga, alleged massive fraud and said he would challenge the results of the "tainted election" in the Supreme Court, the BBC has informed.

Kenyatta is facing trial at the International Criminal Court over post-election violence that plunged the nation into chaos in 2007.

He is accused of fuelling the communal violence that saw more than 1,000 people killed and 600,000 forced from their homes.
