Bulgaria has become the 48th country for which immersive, street-level imagery is now available on Google Maps.
The Bulgarian launch covers not only major economic centers such as Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna, but also historical and beloved towns like Veliko Turnovo and Koprvishtitsa.
Users around the world can also virtually experience the beautiful ski resorts of Borovets, Bansko and Pamporovo, and the stunning Architectural and Museum Reserve Tsarevets that sits on Tsarevets Hill in the old part of of Veliko Tarnovo. The country's Black Sea coast line will be also available.
Google has also announced that it is adding access to panoramas of almost 200 new towns and cities in Russia apart from Moscow and Saint Petersburg, which were already covered.
It has also announced that it has added "thousands of miles" of refreshed imagery of the UK.
This includes major cities such as London, Manchester, Glasgow and Cardiff, but the company is also adding imagery for places where it previously didn't have any Street View coverage, including parts of the Scottish coastline and South Wales.
Google Street View is a technology featured in Google Maps and Google Earth that provides panoramic views from various positions along many streets in the world.
It was launched on May 25, 2007, originally only in several cities in the United States, and has since gradually expanded to include more cities and rural areas worldwide.
