Around 300 protesters gathered Monday evening at the Orlov Most  junction in downtown Sofia on the 16th day of protests.

The protesters reached the Parliament building, where they stopped for a while, then headed for the President's Office, and again returned to Parliament, after which they staged a partial road block at Orlov Most.

The demonstrators voiced discontent over the high utility bills and insisted that the National Assembly keep functioning to adopt legal changes restricting monopolies, according to reports of the Bulgarian National Television (BNT).

The posters of the protesters said "I want to study and live in Bulgaria", "Civil control over the criminal corrupt system", "GERB, Ataka, DPS, BSP, SDS, and DSB – go away, all of you", etc.

The number of protesters has diminished from the previous days, after the center-right GERB government resigned and the three major parties in Parliament, GERB, the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) and the ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) said they would reject a mandate to form an interim government.
