The Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS), Bulgaria's predominantly ethnic Turkish party, has welcomed the upcoming resignation of the country's center-right GERB government.

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov shockingly announced that his Cabinet will resign en masse around noon on Wednesday.

"When (former DPS leader) Ahmed Dogan said that there will be snap elections, everyone was laughing," key DPS MP Hristo Biserov reminded.

He declared that Borisov will be "GERB's last Prime Minister."

However, Biserov added that "we do not know whether Borisov might change his mind."
