Bulgarian capital Sofia's Palace of Justice, home of various judicial institutions and organizations, was emptied early on Monday in the wake of an anonymous bomb alert.

The call claiming that a bomb has been deployed in the building was received by authorities at 8:30 am local time.

Police authorities are currently conducting a search of the building.

An increased number of bomb threats for shopping centers, courts and schools in Sofia and several other major Bulgarian cities was registered in the last few months. No traces of explosives have been found in any of these cases.
