The man who attacked Bulgarian Movement for Rights and Freedoms party leader Ahmed Dogan pointed a hand gun right at his face, but failed to shoot him.

The assaulter walked on stage as Dogan was delivering his welcome speech, and pointed a small hand gun inches away from the leader.

However, for some reason he did not shoot, and a skirmish ensued between him and Dogan.

Delegates intervened, severely beating the attacker and rescuing their leader.

Expect details.
