76% of Bulgarians to Stay at Home for New Year's Eve

Some 76% of all Bulgarians plan a stay-at-home New Year's Eve, according to a survey conducted by the country's National Center for Study of Public Opinion.

A mere 5% consider going to a restaurant or a club, most of them considering themselves to be well-off, while 10% have not made up their mind yet.

Nearly 1% will work on New Year's Eve.

Some 6% of all responders have said they would travel during the holidays.

Approximately 80% of Bulgarians will spend less than BGN 100 (EUR 50) on presents, with 7% saying they could not afford to go shopping at all.

34% of Bulgarians will donate to charities during the upcoming holidays, the survey also shows.
