Bulgaria's lawmakers have voted themselves a nice big winter holiday break, local media inform.

The MPs will be officially in vacation between December 22 and January 6. However, dnevnik.bg has observed that parliamentary sittings are not usually scheduled on Mondays and Tuesdays, which means that they will likely rest on January 7 and January 8, too.

A total of 97 MPs out of the 240-seat Parliament voted in favor of the extended Christmas break, while 8 abstained from voting and 1 voted against.
