Some 81% of adult Bulgarians oppose the legalization of soft drugs, including marijuana, according to a survey conducted by the National Center for Study of Public Opinion.

A total of 1000 responders were surveyed between November 30 and December 6.

Expectedly, people aged over 40 were the staunchest opponents of legalizing soft drugs, while the younger and the highly educated took a more liberal stance.

11% of all responders were in favor of decriminalizing marijuana and other soft drugs.
