Improving the business climate must be among Bulgaria's main priorities, according to Kristalina Georgieva, EU Commissioner for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid, and Crisis Response.

In her Monday statement at the 7th annual meeting of the government and the business sector organized by Capital Weekly in partnership with the Confederation of Industrialists and Employers in Bulgaria (CEIBG), Georgieva put emphasis on small and medium-sized businesses.

Bulgaria's EU Commissioner, as cited by Darik radio, said that stimulating the economy and the labor market were among the key factors for stabilizing the European economy and the top priority for the whole of Europe was to save the Euro.

Georgieva congratulated the Bulgarian government for achieving financial stability but was adamant that there was more to be accomplished.

She admitted that the exit from the crisis would not be easy, adding that it could only be achieved by uniting society, the government, and the business sector around a major strategic goal - a more competitive Bulgaria.
