Interpol is going to restart the search for the perpetrator(s) of the terror act at the airport of the Bulgarian Black Sea city of Burgas, says Interpol Secretary General Ronald Noble

Noble is in Sofia Friday on the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov. In addition to Tsvetanov, he also met with Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov.

The search will involve sifting through Interpol's database, and the republishing of the attacker's picture.

The Secretary General noted that currently all effort was focused on finding the location of accomplices and accessories to the crime, adding in the last 3 – 4 years Bulgaria's partnership with the organization was at the highest possible level when it comes to terrorism.

After the meeting, Borisov stated that Bulgaria has fingerprints, a DNA profile, and a picture of the perpetrator. Noble explained the restart of the search was needed since sometimes the system does not give results at first try.

Interpol experts are to arrive in Bulgaria in two weeks to help local services to find false, stolen, or lost ID documents since it is known that terrorists and criminals often use them.

The Interpol Head also stressed the probability of finding the attacker was increasing and Bulgaria has done everything possible to identify him.

Just days ago, speaking at the 81st General Assembly of Interpol in Rome, Noble said Interpol was concerned with the lack of progress in the investigation of the terror attack in Bulgaria's Black Sea city of Burgas.

He described the lack of progress as "abnormal" in an interview for Bulgaria's bTV channel.

Interpol is puzzled by the fact that the identity of the suicide bomber is still unknown, even though footage and pictures of him have been distributed, Noble noted.

The July 18 Burgas bus bombing killed five Israeli tourists and a Bulgarian bus driver.
