Unemployment in Bulgaria will not grow during the coming year, stated Bulgarian Minister of Labor and Social Policy Totyu Mladenov.

"Our Ministry has allotted BGN 72 M through the end of 2012 for support of businesses in keeping old and opening new jobs," said Mladenov on a visit to Vratsa.

"During times of crisis, we are helping SMEs to hire people and improve working conditions," added the minister.

Mladenov stated that for 2013, the Ministry's goal is to preserve unemployment at the rate for this year, or 11-12%.

"Next year we will increase a bit funds for subsidized employment, especially for those who have for long remained jobless, as well as for the disabled," said he.

In Vratsa, Buglaria's Social Policy Minister was at the launch of construction of a center for underprivileged children, financed by Vratsa Municipality and the EU Human Resources Development Operational Program.
