Bulgarian Customs Agency head Vanyo Tanov has declared that he is in favor of the government's efforts to move important state agencies to cities other than the capital Sofia.
However, Tanov has told Nova TV that the move requires a serious analysis and a political consensus.
The official has confirmed that there is currently "no chance" for the Bulgarian Customs Agency to move to the Danube town of Ruse.
Last week, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov postponed indefinitely the relocation of the Customs Agency headquarters to Ruse, explaining that his cabinet needed money to increase minimum wages and retirement pensions in 2013.
The idea to relocate several state institutions is a top priority brainchild of Finance Minister Djankov.
