Bulgaria is facing a hapless future at the hands of ruling center-right GERB party and citizens should brace for a change, stated PES and opposition Bulgarian Socialist Party leader Sergey Stanishev.
Saturday the socialist leader delivered his latest anti-GERB diatribe at the Bulgarian Socialists's National Council sitting in Sofia.
"Bulgaria is a country plundered by GERB. People's money is plundered, our rights are pillaged, our hopes are destroyed too," ran Stanishev's Jeremiad.
"A time of division and choice has come. People must decide whether to accept obediently GERB's abominations or be free," declared the socialist leader.
He once again appealed to those GERB supporters who he said are disappointed at what he described as a misguided rule resulting in a poor performance of the economy and growing unemployment.
"In Bulgaria young people do not have work and have to leave. Even qualified medics choose to emigrate. And then if you are unemployed or retired, then it's tragedy," went on Stanishev.
The socialist leader once again renewed calls for unity among Socialists' ranks for the upcoming general elections in the summer of 2013.
He also added that he expects GERB to employ all kinds of sneaky tactics for the elections, including vote splitting for smaller parties and vote rigging.
