The Bulgarian President's Office is hard at work for creating conditions for Bulgarians abroad to return and work in Bulgaria, stated Vice-President Margarita Popova Sunday.
"We want people to stay in Bulgaria and not emigrate, but we won't be doing that by simply telling them not to go away," said Popova at a seminar in sea resort Albena.
"We would like to see people go out of the country, learn new things, and then come back and productively work," explained the Bulgarian Vice-President.
At the same time, she said President Rosen Plevneliev and she are committed to turn Bulgaria's national Strategy for Bulgarians Abroad into a working tool, rather than merely an adninistrative paper.
Popova added that Bulgaria's government should also be actively contributing to creating conditions for Bulgarian emigrants to return.
