On their last workday before the summer recess, Bulgarian MPs will hold a closed-door hearing on the July 18 terror attack against Israeli tourists in the Black Sea city of Burgas.

Reports will be presented by Tsvetan Tsvetanov, Interior Minister, Nikolay Mladenov, Foreign Minister, Konstantin Kazakov, Chair of the State Agency for National Security (DANS), Dragomir Dimitrov, head of the National Intelligence Service and Veselin Ivanov, head of the Military Intelligence Service.

The hearing will be held behind closed doors due to the classified information concerning Bulgaria's national security.

Bulgaria's Consultative Council on National Security at the President's Office discussed Thursday the terror attack and decided to task the government with conducting an in-depth analysis of the dynamics of the security environment to shed light on the events preceding the Burgas bus bombing.

In the course of the five-hour sitting, the consultative body assigned the Cabinet the task of upgrading the national conceptual model for counteracting terrorism in line with the amended security environment.

The government is also to improve the work of the national bodies in charge of crisis management.
