Regular direct flights may be launched between Bulgaria and China, officials said on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Bulgaria's Deputy Transport Minister Kamen Kichev met a Chinese Parliamentary delegation headed by Deputy Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chinese General Assembly, Dja PeiSin.

Kichev and Dja PeiSin agreed that the introduction of regular China-Bulgaria flights would significantly increase the flow of tourists between the two countries.

The officials discussed potential Chinese investments in Bulgarian transport projects.

China recently announced it has decided to set up a USD 10 B credit line to support infrastructure and green economy projects in Central and Eastern Europe.
