Some 150 consultants trained for the project together with 780 school counselors are said to be helping the young Bulgarian kids with their education and career choices.

The system is also to provide an online portal with information about Bulgarian high schools and universities as well as aptitude tests to help students pick their careers, targeting the students from 1-4th grade, 5-8th grade, and 9-12th grade in three age groups, the Education Minister explained.

In his words, the career development system will provide the kids with information about the professions in their homeplace as well as the skills and knowledge they need for these professions, in accordance with the labor market.

A total of 205 professional fields with 480 types of jobs are said to have already been included in the new career development system; each of them will feature its own description to help students understand the requirements for it.
