Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, declares that his ruling, center-right GERB party and the opposition, left-wing Bulgarian Socialist Party, BSP, would never rule Bulgaria together.
Speaking Thursday in an interview for Nova TV, the Minister stressed that the voters are the only ones deciding if the country will have a one-party cabinet or a coalition. He voiced conviction that Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria party, GERB, will win once again the 2013 general elections.
"We have heart this talk already. They were saying that GERB could not win in 2009 and form a government. We, however, did; we decided to have a minority cabinet because we know that we must bear full political responsibility," Tsvetanov stated and expressed deep gratitude to the Members of the Parliament who supported and support GERB.
When asked who is going to win the battle to be BSP leader, former President, Georgi Parvanov, or former PM, Sergey Stanishev, (current Socialist leader), the Minister replied that GERB never interferes with the internal affairs of other political formations.
BSP remains GERB's main political adversary, according to Tsvetanov.
