P&G's Todd Geist Talks Leadership with Sofia University Students at AIESEC Seminar
The Financial Director of Procter & Gamble Todd Geist has met with students and professors at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski as part of the „Leadership for Success" seminar, organized by AIESEC.
The AIESEC seminars are designed to assist those who want to improve their leadership skills and make a change by being leaders, the organization says.
On Saturday, March 31, students and professors from Sofia University, had the opportunity to be part of one of the biggest presentations, which was led by Todd Geist, the finance director of „Procter & Gamble".
The main ideas, which Todd Geist provided was that people should lead by example, be roll-models for the others and „be the change they want to be in the world".
Regarding leadership, he came up with five important steps – envisioning, engagement, energizing, enabling and execution. According to him, these are the steps that each person must follow if he wants to make a change by taking leadership responsibilities.
Another point of the seminar „Leadership for success", was that success of one leader can be achieved by a group of people who are going in the same direction, who have the same vision, goals and who take part in the decisions.
The participants had the opportunity to understand better what it means to be a leader; they learned about the most important principles connected with leading and were able to evaluate their personal views about being a leader. According to Todd Geist: „Leadership is the way to make a difference in the world."
The seminar „Leadership for succsess" was organized by AIESEC Sofia University in collaboration with „Student life". AIESEC is the biggest international student organization, which has 60 years of experience in developing high-potential youth into globally minded responsible leaders.
AIESEC is focused on providing a platform for youth leadership development and it offers to young people the opportunity to participate in international internships, experience leadership and participate in a global learning environment.
