Appellate Prosecutor Plamen Dimitrov has been appointed by Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov as the country's new Deputy Justice Minister.
Dimitrov is set to replace Hristo Angelov who resigned a couple of weeks ago explaining that newly appointed Justice Minister Diana Kovacheva is entitled to choose her own team upon taking over.
Angelov also stated that he had personal reasons to quit.
Bulgaria's Justice Ministry has not commented on whether any more changes are about to be made, dnevnik.bg informs. Deputy Justice Minister Daniela Masheva and Zhaneta Petrova will keep their positions.
Diana Kovacheva, 36, was appointed Justice Minister in the place of Margarita Popova, who was elected in October as Vice President on the ticket of the ruling, center-right Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria party (GERB).
Prior to assuming the ministerial post, Kovacheva was the executive director of Transparency without Borders, the Bulgarian unit of Transparency International.
