Bulgaria's President Georgi Parvanov and his wife, Zorka Parvanova, will divorce after Parvanov's second and last term in office ends in January 2012.

The President and his spouse have practically separated a long ago, but they are waiting for Parvanov to step down from office in order to launch their divorce, the" Bulgaria Dnes" ("Bulgaria Today") tabloid has claimed.

Several left-wing MPs, journalists and models, as well as singer Mariana Popova have been mentioned by tabloids as Parvanov's potential lovers over the past few years.

The outgoing Bulgarian President has not officially commented on the future of his marital life once his term is over, but he has publicly stated he will return to the Bulgarian Socialist Party from which his political career once started.

Rumors have it that Parvanov is planning to once again become leader of the leftist political formation which he headed between 1996 and 2001.
