Bulgaria' Prime Minsiter Boyko Borisov will name the country's new Justice Minister on December 1, it was revealed on Thursday.
Bulgaria's current Justice Minister, Margarita Popova, was elected vice president in Sunday's elections. She was the running mate of Rosen Plevneliev, the candidate endorsed by Borisov's ruling centrist-right GERB party, who won the presidential runoff with 52.5% of the votes.
Currently, Popova is on a leave of absence, which mean she could keep her post until she is inaugurated on January 21 2012.
On Monday, Borisov hinted that the new Justice Minister would be a professional very well received by EU institutions. He further revealed that the new Minister will not be a current MP or a member of Popova's ministerial cabinet.
