The Bulgarian National Football team ended last in their group of the Euro 2012 qualifier after a lackluster game as hosts in Sofia against Wales Tuesday evening.

The match concluded with 0:1 for Wales thanks to Gareth Bale's score in the last minute of the first half.

The Bulgarian team finished with only 5 points and two ties from the qualifier.

The game was played before an empty National Vasil Levski Stadium as Bulgarian fans decided to boycott the team over their poor performances. There were only about 600 spectators, some of whom Wales fans.

Wales is fourth in the group after Switzerland won against Montenegro with 2:0.

The Bulgarian team was led by temporary coach, Mihail Madanski, who replaced the ousted Lothar Matthaeus.
