Nikolina Nikolova has been appointed Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works in Bulgaria's Borisov Cabinet.

Nikolova was born in 1979. She earned a Master's in law from the University for National and World Economy in Sofia. She is fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, French, and Russian.

Nikolova has specialized at the Harvard Business School, the Public Administration Institute in Maastricht, and the Regional Institute of Administrative Reform in Nantes, France, the government press service announced.

Before joining the Cabinet, Nikolova was a member of the Governing Board of the Bulgarian Road Infrastructure Agency.

Nikolova is joining the staff of the Regional Development Ministry, after former minister Rosen Plevneliev was nominated by the ruling center-right party GERB to run for President in the October 23 elections, and was replaced by his deputy, Lilyana Pavlova.
