Explosions Rock Kharkiv as Russian Strikes Target Power Supply
The city of Kharkiv, Ukraine, was shaken by a series of explosions this morning, with Mayor Igor Terekhov confirming about 15 blasts
Figures from the underworld trying to destabilize the country stay behind the two bombs that went off early on Tuesday in front of two oppositional parties' offices, according to the country's Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov.
Tsvetanov, however, was certain their efforts will be in vain.
Two explosions shook the offices of Bulgarian parties on Tuesday. The first blast went off at 3:58 a.m. in front of the headquarters of the conservative Order, Law and Justice Party, RZS, in central Sofia.
About twenty minutes later another explosion ripped off the air in front of an office of the party of former Prime Minister Ivan Kostov, Democrats for Strong Bulgaria, which is a part of the parliamentary Blue Coalition.
Both RZS and the Blue Coalition have declared they will support the upcoming no confidence vote called over what the opposition has stated is a failure in the sphere of home affairs.
On Tuesday, Tsvetanov stated that the two explosions were very similar to the one that took place February in front of the oppositional Galeria weekly.
The newspaper is widely believed to be the mouthpiece of Aleksei Petrov, a highly controversial businessman, considered to be the prime minister's archenemy, and closely linked to RZS.
Right before the blast, Galeria had published transcripts of taped phone conversations between senior government officials and Customs Office chief Vanyo Tanov, which prompted Prime Minister Boyko Borisov to seek and win a confidence vote in Parliament on January 20.
Rumors say the owners of Galeria might have ordered the blast themselves in an effort to discredit the government.
