The executive power in Bulgaria has 24 hours to reveal the names of the people responsible for the two overnight blasts in Sofia, according to right-wing leader, Ivan Kostov.

The leader of Democrats for Strong Bulgaria, DSB, party made the statement Tuesday from the Black Sea capital Varna, pointing out he would be making the same demand if other parties' office were blasted because such acts threaten democracy in the country.

Kostov, who is also a former Prime Minister, spoke in the aftermath of blasts, rocking Sofia overnight, when bombs exploded in front of the offices of two Bulgarian opposition parties, damaging neighboring buildings.

The first blast went off at 3:58 a.m. in front of the headquarters of the conservative Order, Law and Justice Party, RZS, in downtown Sofia. About twenty minutes later another explosion ripped off the air in front of an office of DSB.

"The Mutras (mafia bosses) entered Bulgaria's political stage. They gave it a specific coloring. This is an unprecedented attempt of intimidation right before the parliamentary no-confidence vote against the cabinet. The entire responsibility belongs to the ruling Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria, GERB, party. The statement of Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov that the victims themselves have staged the explosions is impudent and unacceptable," Kostov declared.

Other high-ranking DSB members such as the DSB Deputy Chair and Member of the Parliament, Veselin Metodiev, and Gen. Atanas Atanasov also joined in the ultimatum to have the names of the perpetrators in 24 hours.

"If the executive power fails to adhere to this deadline, the consequences will be the following – it will become crystal clear the cabinet cannot secure public order and the safety of citizens; an avalanche of political speculations, detrimental for democracy will follow, and last, but not least – the no-confidence vote and the European Commission's report will be marred by the blasts," Metodiev is quoted saying Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Pavlin Cherganski, DSB Chair of the Ilinden district in Sofia, where the blast occurred, denied threats and warning about it have been received, but pointed out people in the building were very scared now.
