The rightist Bulgarian Union of Democratic Forces (UDF) party will support a no confidence vote against the centrist-right GERB's minority government if it called as a result of the Interior Ministry's performance.

The announcement made Tuesday by the party's leader Martin Dimitrov comes a day after the Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB), the other formation constituting the right wing Blue Coalition, stated it would back any no confidence vote aimed at the Interior Ministry, no matter which parliamentary group calls for it.

DSB's leader and Blue Coalition co-chair, Ivan Kostov, said Monday his party would coordinate its position on a potential no confidence vote against Tsvetanov with their partners from UDF.

Tsvetanov should no longer head GERB's electoral campaign while serving as a Interior Minister, Dimitrov declared Tuesday, pointing out that Yordan Lechkov, the incumbent Mayor of the town of Sliven, who was recently endorsed by GERB, is also a subject of an ongoing police investigation.

During the UDF press conference, the Blue Coalition's presidential runner Rumen Hristov denied allegations he may end up as GERB's candidate for Vice President.
